Download
Server
Install it once, on the computer that stays on (a desktop, a mini PC, a home server). It runs Jarvis for everyone in the household.
macOS (Apple silicon) Windows Debian / Ubuntu (amd64) Debian / Ubuntu (arm64)
Agent
The desktop agent, for each person's own computer: talk to Jarvis there and let it work on that computer. It installs for you only, without administrator rights.
macOS (Apple silicon) Windows Debian / Ubuntu (amd64) Debian / Ubuntu (arm64)
macOS needs Apple silicon (Intel Macs are not supported); Windows needs amd64. A GPU is optional. Other files and older versions are on the Releases page.
Then open the setup page
-
1
Open
http://<host>:7710/setup<host>is the computer you installed the server on. The installer opens the page for you (or prints the link, on a computer without a screen). Lost it?sudo jarvisd setup-linkprints it again. -
2
Run the setup wizard
Create the first account, pick your hardware and a model. Nothing large is downloaded until you choose a model there.
-
3
Chat, and connect the agent, nodes and the app
The web app stays on port
7710: everyone in the household can chat with Jarvis there, and admins manage the server. The Jarvis mobile app is coming to the app stores; the docs say when.
Advanced: install from a terminal
The same release (v0.1.0-rc18.10) from the command line: each line downloads the script, then runs it. Prefer to read it first? Run the download on its own, open the script, then run it.
Server: Linux and macOS
In a terminal. It asks for sudo; sh install.sh --help lists the options (for example --user on Linux, for a per-user service without root).
curl -fsSLo install.sh https://github.com/alexberardi/jarvis-server/releases/download/v0.1.0-rc18.10/install.sh && sh install.sh
Server: Windows
In PowerShell, as Administrator (or it asks for elevation).

Agent: other Linux (Fedora, Arch, …)
Run it as yourself, not with sudo: the agent is per user.
curl -fsSLo install-agent.sh https://github.com/alexberardi/jarvis-server/releases/download/v0.1.0-rc18.10/install-agent.sh && sh install-agent.sh
Voice node: Raspberry Pi preview
A Raspberry Pi with the ReSpeaker 2-mics HAT. A preview: it installs next to the current Pi node and stays off until you pass --activate.
curl -fsSLo install-pi.sh https://github.com/alexberardi/jarvis-server/releases/download/v0.1.0-rc18.10/install-pi.sh && sudo sh install-pi.sh
The scripts check what they download against the release's SHA256SUMS; check a downloaded installer the same way.
Migrating from the old Docker install?
The Docker (microservice) install is retired for new installs: it no longer installs out of the box. Its docs stay, frozen, in the Legacy section of the documentation. Moving your users, nodes, settings and memories to Jarvis Automation is described in Migrating from the old Docker install.
